The EXTRAS Matter

As you know, each grammar school in District 64 is set up to teach every child in Park Ridge the same curriculum across all our schools. What really helps set schools apart from one another are THE EXTRAS.

​Franklin School PTA pays for and provides the EXTRA programs and learning opportunities that give our kids that little bit extra that makes a Franklin education SPECIAL and that enhances what the district curriculum provides to everyone. 

How can my family get involved?

Your CHILD Matters

Our goal this year is both monetary and educational, and every student counts! This year, each child will get a PERSONALIZED WEBSITE they could send to friends and family used to 1) ask for donations AND 2) select their personal acts of service they want to complete.

my.raisecraze.com/AR18UM. It is very simple to set up! Once you set up your page, you provide the e-mail addresses of your friends and family who you’d like to ask for support. Then, Raise Craze does the rest – including sending them automatic thank you notes from your child! 

What's NEW this year?

Being KIND Matters

IT’S FUNDRAISING WITH A TWIST! This year we are naming it THE KINDNESS WALK because we have combined this fundraiser with RAISE CRAZE – a program that will enable our kids to thank their donors by PAYING IT FORWARD WITH AN ACT OF KINDNESS!! 

​For each donation that they receive, they will perform a simple act of kindness of their choice as a way to BE THANKFUL for the support they receive. 

What's our goal?

Monetary Goal:
Our budget this year is $47,000 in PTA expenses that pour back into Franklin's student and teacher community. Check out our "Where Your $$ Goes" tab for details. Needless to say, PTA matters at Franklin!

To help support these generous programs, our 'KINDNESS WALK' goal this year is $30,000! 100% participation is KEY.

Educational Goal:
Parents are often looking for ways to teach their kids about being appreciative, giving back, doing something nice for someone else and just being thankful for what is given to them. The NEW service component of fundraising through acts of service and kindness is a GREAT way to reinforce that message!
