ROOM PARENT INFORMATION

Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year! For those of you that are new to Franklin, we have opportunities to be a Room Parent for your child's classroom. This is an opportunity to work with other parents to plan and host the Halloween and Valentine's Day parties for your child's classroom and do other things for the teacher throughout the year. 

NOTE that you must be a paid PTA member to be able to signup for this volunteer opportunity. Once you're a paid member, you will see a list of all exclusive volunteer opportunities for members under SIGNUPS in Membership Toolkit. Thank you! ****

A few guidelines and details: 
  • We have 2 head room parent slots for each teacher. Head Room parents plan both the Halloween and Valentine's day parties with the other parents assigned to those parties. NOTE: You can only be the head room parent for one child. 
  • 2 Halloween Party Room Parents - these parents will work with the head room parents to plan and host the Halloween party 
  • 2 Valentine's Day Party Room Parents - these parents will work with the head room parents to plan and host the Valentine's Day party
  • Signups open on Tuesday, September 10th - At that time it is first come, first served. You can volunteer for one child's classroom and if there are slots still available for room parents on September 16th, you can volunteer for another child's classroom. **This gives as many parents as possible the chance to volunteer in their child's classroom. 

Signups for Room Parents will open on Tuesday, September 10th at 7am on FranklinPTA.MembershipToolkit.com. Visit the volunteer opportunities and select your child's teacher.
